"A basic essential to the permanent peace is a decent standard of living." F.D.Roosevelt

"Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures."                              J.F.Kennedy

“It should never be forgotten that peace resides ultimately not in the hands of governments, but in the hands of the people. For unless peace can be made real to men, women and children of the Middle East, the best efforts of negotiators will come to naught.”
“ We aim to build a better future under peace: to change the pattern of life for our people from despair and hopelessness to honor and dignity. We want all voices to be heard in shaping a new regional order.”
King Hussein

The Rationale
The Rationale The Need AUP Mission

1.   That, peace is in the best interest of the Peoples of the Middle East and of the global objectives of the United States of America. The goal of the AUP is to enhance the Peace dividends to the Palestinian People and their partners in peace.

2.   That, cultural and economic achievements under the rule of a Civil Society are the key yardsticks for measuring National Policies success and achievements.

3.   That, educational and developmental parity and opportunity cement and reinforce venues of cooperation between Palestinians and their neighbors.

4.   That, the Middle East’s future economic success requires its full integration in the competitive Global Economy.

5.   That, it is possible to develop many high technology-based economic sectors without the necessity of having the over-all local economy passing through the earlier stages of the so-called appropriate and intermediate technology phases.

6.   That, a highly trained Scientific and Technical Human Resource is the key ingredient of the economical wealth of the countries of the Jordan River.

"American principles of political, economic, and intellectual democracy make American leadership in the world strongest when conditions of peace and orderly change prevail and when conditions conducive to national growth in an orderly fashion are implemented. In that respect American peacemaking is a most effective approach in the best interests of all."

“ Political, social, and economic difference between Israel and Palestinians, and among Arab nations increased the prospects for instability in the Middle East. Success in effecting constructive generational changes in the Middle East will result in successful orderly change in the region that will have a positive global impact.”

Harold H. Saunders.
