The
American University of Palestine, Inc (AUP), a nonprofit organization, was
founded by American educators, professionals and businessmen committed to a
peaceful and economically thriving Middle East with Palestine and its People,
key players and contributors thereof. It
is established to help enhance the cause for Peace in the Middle East via
equitable opportunities for all to education and subsequently to the economic
gain that education provides. The University will also serve the region’s
burgeoning economy through curricula, which include the knowledge most needed by
Middle Eastern countries. The American
University of Palestine (AUP) is a pure American University established in the
Commonwealth of Kentucky under United States Law, and will operate under IRS
Code 501 (c) (3). Its academic accreditation will come through United
States/American sources. AUP
will provide for deserving students judged on a purely academic context to
attend without regard to national origin, ethnic persuasion, religion, sexual
orientation, or politics. In fact,
differences in the student body will be encouraged for the purposes of
inclusion, conflict resolution and the promotion of Peace through opportunity. The
financial solution to the AUP operating budget is planned through the AUP’s
FANUES Foundation to generate long-lasting revenues for the life of the AUP.
The pristine character of this “American University” will be
guaranteed by locating in a central area in the Middle East close to Israel,
Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. |
